Meg & Jo by Virginia Kantra : a review

Meg and Jo review! 4 out of 5.

I love Little Women and was so excited for this book because I’m a sucker for retellings. I’ve seriously read all of the pride and prejudice ones. This one left me a little salty. It’s not really a retelling as much as it is a reimagining of the characters in the present. Don’t get me wrong I loved it. I would have given it 4 stars if I didn’t. The blurb on the front just bothers me a little. Also the way the dad is portrayed leaves me a little disheartened. Once I got the word retelling out of my head and replaced it with reimagining, I devoured the book and read it every chance that I could.

That being said. I want to read Jo’s food blog. I want to have coffee with Meg or babysit her twins. I want to listen to Beth sing on the radio. I want to buy one of Amy’s designs. I want to buy Abby’s goat cheese.

I’m literally itching to read the next one. @berkleypub when does the next one come out? Like I need it now. 😬🤣
