Us Against You by Fredrik Backman: Review

An Open Letter to Fredrik Backman:

Dear Mr. Backman,

Your book has made me loose sleep and read a book faster than I could ever read it. I was really scared that I wasn’t getting too into the book as I read it on my phone (thanks netgalley for the advance egalley) but once I checked out the book from the library I couldn’t stop reading. Your book had me staying up until 2 am reading and I only stopped because I fell asleep. I even carried the book from room to room and lost it while getting something out of the closet.

Although I will say I don’t know what I would do without your books. You have given us a grumpy old man named Ove, a protagonist name Britt-Marie, and you have made me cry uncontrollably reading your novellas. Then you gave us Beartown and you have given us more of Beartown. You given us so many lovable characters.

Only you Mr. Backman could take hockey and interweave in so many social issues and make a book amazing. I can’t wait for book 3!

Thank you for writing such amazing books!

❤ Martha

Ps congrats on another mic dropping worthy piece of fiction.
Pss please hurry up and write book 3.

You really should read this book. It’s amazingly awesome. You find yourself crying, screaming, wanting to give up on the book and finally feeling the triumphant of the characters.
