One of Us is Lying: Review

I have been waiting to read One Of Us is Lying since I read about it before it was published. I finally put myself on the holds list for it and it was finally my turn.

I knew it was suppose to be like the Breakfast Club but modern. I’ve had the last song to the movie in my head since I started reading. I had a lot of theories to what really happened and wasn’t surprised when I found out one of my theories was right.

Here’s the thing, this book feels also like a creepy version of 13 Reasons Why. Simon is the outcast so why not him and why not someone carry on what he started.

I loved the characters Addy, Nate, Bronwyn and Cooper. I couldn’t stop thinking though how the police could have done something about Nate’s Dad and their living situation or even his probation officer. I just don’t get it.

Some of the police investigation and interrogations just didn’t make sense. In today’s world, their investigation would likely be thrown out of the window.

All in all it’s a good book, fast read and keeps your attention.

Stars: 3.5
